Our House
Heagate Publishing has stood at the edge of the market quarter since before the cobblestones were laid. We deal in manuscripts, folios, and bound volumes that the larger houses refuse to touch — not for lack of worth, but for excess of it.
Our proprietor acquires only what cannot be found elsewhere. Provenance is guaranteed. Discretion is absolute. The nature of our catalogue is not posted at the door, nor given freely to those who merely wander in from the cold.
If you were directed here, you already know what we offer. If you found us by chance — consider whether chance is the right word.
The Catalogue
Illuminated Manuscripts
The Dorchester Hours, c. 1387
Forty-two vellum leaves, gilt initials throughout. Condition is remarkable. Origin is not discussed.
Forbidden Philosophy
Tractatus de Umbra Mentis
A treatise on the lesser-known faculties of the rational soul. Three copies were ordered burned. This is not one of those copies.
Cartography
Maps of the Interior Provinces
Hand-drawn on oilskin. The territories depicted do not appear in any civil survey. Scale varies by necessity.
Correspondence
The Unmarked Letters (Vol. I–IV)
Authenticated. Unsigned. Buyers are advised not to inquire about the parties involved.
There are books that change the reader, and books that merely pass through their hands.
We do not carry the latter.

Commission
Heagate Publishing maintains relationships with collectors, archivists, and private estates across the continent. If a volume has left a trail — however faint — we are capable of following it.
Commission inquiries are accepted in person only, during the hours between Vespers and Compline. Bring a letter of introduction. Bring patience. Do not bring witnesses.
